Composite Mercury hub kit for 1" propshaft that includes forward bushing 856163Q1:

Mercury 40-60 HP Bigfoot

Typically used for Fury, Tempest Plus, Trophy Plus, Revolution 4, and Bravo 1 in a surface piercing application

Used on heavier stainless steel propellers

The hub kit 835257K6 with the forward bushing compared to hub kit 835257K1 without the bushing allows this hub kit to be more stable when used on larger and heavier stainless steel propellers.

Additionally, the forward bushing allows the hub kit 835257K6 nut to be torqued up to 100-foot pounds compared to 55-foot pounds on the 835257K1 hub kit without the forward bushing.
